Make your protected area visible throughout the Alps !

A common discovering tool , modern and playful, was made available to the public in 2008 : the ViViAlp or « the virtual visit of the alpine protected areas » is currently accessible on Internet and in several stations all over the Alps.So far, twenty protected areas are present in this tool.

An update of the software has already started and this is an opportunity, at lower cost, for your protected area to become visible in this 3-dimensional ALPARC network!
You have no budget so far to have your own station? You don't have any exhibition sites or your visitor center is too small?
The integration of your protected area can be done in 2 steps:

Step 1 : Data integration in the ViViAlp tool
Input	Geographic data (aerial photos), points of interest (short texts and illustrations)
Cost	Geographic data from your protected area, pictures and translated texts Geographic data integration and annotations as well as the 15 first points of interest (POI) are free of charge Additional POI will be charged 250€ each. You can thus adapt the number of POI according to your budget You will ask you a fixed amount contribution for the touch screen update.
Results	Your protected area is visible in the ViViAlp version 2, meaning around 20 exhibition places across 6 alpines countries, plus an internet version (Google Earth).
Deadline	Confirm your participation before March 1, 2011 According your possibility, data gathering will be done during the coming year.

Step 2 optional : Acquiring your own ViViAlp station
Input	None
Cost	Purchasing license et hardware (computer and furniture) : from 8000 to 15000€ Annual contribution for maintenance and actualisation : 1000 € per year (signing of partnership agreement)
Results	The ViViAlp tool is running in your visitor centre(s).
Deadline	Important point : you are not obliged to install your own station. You can acquire a station when and if you want. No deadline is applicable.
