The Memorial Danilo Re is a sports event and the largest gathering for Alpine park rangers and managers, whose day-to-day work is dedicated to conserving and protecting Alpine Biodiversity.

Protected areas form teams and compete in four different sports disciplines:
ski mountaineering, giant slalom, target shooting and cross-country skiing.

In 2023 a total of 48 teams from all over the Alpine arc took part and competed for the Danil Re Trophy.
